Staff

We are committed to providing the very best care and education for all our children, and we could not do this without having a dedicated and highly qualified team who make every day magical. Our team, known as the Westwards Family, are professional, friendly and approachable with an enthusiastic attitude towards the development of young children. Drawing on a wealth of knowledge and experience, staff ensure that every child feels happy, safe, and secure by building strong parent partnerships and focusing on individual children’s interests. Staff provide a fun curriculum, where learning through stimulating, challenging activities builds a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude to life.

We understand that your child is the most important person in the world, and we only employ staff who are fully qualified, suitable, and trained to work with young children. With a vigorous recruitment and induction procedure, we ensure all our staff hold paediatric first aid and food hygiene. Our staff are enrolled with our online training provider from the very start of their career and receive relevant internal and external training. We have a high staff ratio who are trained to Level 5/Level 6 Degree level, as well as Qualified Teachers.

At Westwards, each member of our team is responsible for their own small group of children, their ‘key children’. Our key person system is robust and provides a secure attachment from the start. Staff observations, assessments and daily activities are uploaded onto our online system for parents to view. Working in the moment and planning around your child’s interests, enables us to ensure every child is at the centre of an individual curriculum. Sensitive, experienced, qualified staff are on-hand to answer all of your questions and our termly focus child meetings give parents the opportunity to discuss their child’s development on a regular basis.
