Testimonials What our Parents say... As a self-confessed fussy early years teacher myself, I was very nervous to send my lockdown baby to nursery. Westwards worked hard with my husband and I to make my daughter’s transition to nursery as smooth as possible. I was blown away by the beautiful provision when I came for my initial tour, even taking some inspiration for my own classroom away with me. My daughter is extremely happy and settled at Westwards and I wouldn’t have her anywhere else. Outstanding staff and a truly enabling environment for little ones to learn in. Both of my children are at, or have been through, Westwards from the baby room to pre-school. It's a wonderfully homely environment, where the children are encouraged in their interests and are always put first. They love the food, "Two portions of lunch today" we hear a lot at handover! We are confident that the staff know the children well, and they are very well-prepared for school. Our eldest has found, in fact, that forest school in Reception is a tame comparison to Westwards'! When we moved to the area, we looked at numerous nurseries but we are so pleased to have found Westward's! We have three children, all of whom have been looked after superbly by the staff here. Our youngest is currently in the Rainbow (toddler) room and loves it. The quality of care our children have experienced over the last four years has been brilliant, across all rooms and with all staff. The setting itself is homely and the newly renovated garden/play area offers a great sensory aspect to the children's experience. One of our favourite things about Westward's, that not many others can offer, is the location and hence the opportunities available to the children. They regularly visit the town centre, shops, market and parks; seasonal events such as Loughborough Fair and Christmas lights are also frequented much to the children's delight. The nursery also provide forest school provision for the 3-4 year olds which our older two couldn't wait for each week! The staff communicate well and we feel like they really get to know and understand the kids. They offer a huge variety of activities on site day to day following the children's interests and current events; it's lovely to see staff pick up on a child's interest and share that in the day's activities with their peers! Finally, as a teacher myself, I am very impressed with the preparation preschool gave my son before he started primary school this year. They have prepared both of my older children excellently with the skills necessary for a smooth transition to school and the staff still love to engage with them when they are with me to collect my youngest at the end of the day. We would certainly recommend Westward's to anyone (and we have done many a time!), it'll be a sad day when our youngest leaves!
